China Southern Airlines Guangzhou-Budapest flight opening ceremony

China Southern Airlines launched the first direct flight between Guangzhou and Budapest on 28 June 2024. The new flight CZ649 will operate four times a week and is the first direct service between Guangzhou and Hungary.

The introduction of the flight not only celebrates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Hungary and China, but also strengthens economic, trade and cultural ties between the two countries. The flight takes approximately 12 hours and will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, making it a significant step in expanding travel opportunities between the two continents.
